Yoga Nidra and Chakra Bowl Meditation

Greetings everyone! I am offering my last Yoga Nidra & Crystal Chakra Bowl Meditation of the year at Maya Yoga, Sunday, November 13 at 2:00 pm. Come and experience the full Yoga Nidra practice as taught to me by Dr. Rolf Sovic, PhD, President and Spiritual Director of the Himalayan Institute and sounds of my beautiful set of crystal chakra bowls that I have had since 1991.

To prepare, please come with a fairly empty tummy, wear super comfortable clothing, bring whatever you need to be comfortable on the floor (I had a gal who brought her sleeping bag) and if you tend to get cold, a cover that you adore. 

The steps we will go thru will be gentle movement, exercise without movement, agni sara, the 61 points and 75 breaths relaxation exercises, a breath awarenes exercise, and then the practice of the yoga nidra with a sankalpa. 

The benefits of the practice of the yoga nidra are:

  • relaxes the nervous system,
  • relaxes the heart and skeletal muscles,
  • helps reduce sleeping time,
  • deepens self-awareness,
  • helpful for high blood pressure, gastric or peptic ulcers, circulatory problems, stress related illness, and disorders related to aging.

You will be instructed not to fall asleep in the process, but if you are super-tired, it just may happen. Be prepared for a glorious journey. If you are not a member, drop-in fee is $20. Hope to see you there!
