Greetings! I am J. Renée DeTar, and welcome to The
Institute of Interdisciplinary Yoga Studies (IIYS) and ReneeYoga!  After owning and managing large yoga studios offering a variety of yoga styles, I have created a unique perspective in the yoga teacher training field. We offer a liberal arts approach to learning where students can study Iyengar, Ashtanga, Viniyoga, Vinyasa, Gentle & Restorative and Yoga Therapeutics. In 2016, we will formally have our first exclusive Ashtanga track in Kansas City, for those who want to study Ashtanga. Thus, we have a rockin' teacher training faculty and a liberal approach to your plan of study, whether you are looking for a 200 hour certificate or want to finish your 500 hour certificate.

I hope you take the time to review my site in detail, feeling free to contact me with any questions.

With immense gratitude and appreciation for you, the yoga teacher of the future, and to my past teachers and students, and especially to my own teachers with whom I continue to study, thank you for allowing me to be a part of this incredible journey.

The art work on my site was created by Liz Lark of the United Kingdom who is a yoga artist and famous for her "Yoga Poetry" vinyasa sequencing classes and elemental vinyasa workshops as well as world reknowned published author.  ReneeYoga proudly represents Liz and her artistry here in the US.
